With a substantial investment in property, business, and mindset education, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
I began my career 30 years ago, with unwavering determination, to overcome the stigma and challenges of having dyslexia. Despite being told my O'levels grades were insufficient, I fought my way into technical college and earned a degree, leading to a Postgraduate diploma. My career then started as a Project Manager at BT.
I excelled over the following 15 years, reaching the status of Program Delivery Director.
However by 2010 I had burnout, which led me to escape to Portugal, where I lived modestly whilst renovating a flat. This break provided clarity, I liked and missed the finer things in life and my goals extended beyond my own personal success; it was to support others with learning difficulties.
During the last 15 years I have lived in Australia and heavily invested into my property, business and mindset education, gaining extensive experiences along the way.
On my return to Europe I sought out the best this side of the world. Through these connections I met a like-minded woman to found Partners In Property. Our venture empowers individuals to achieve financial freedom and support their families and dreams, driven by resilience, community, and passion.
At school I narrowed my field of career choice to working with mentally disabled adults, becoming a Physics teacher or going to drama school. The careers advisor translated that as wanting to do ‘A’ levels in Computing. My path was set. My first Software Development role in the Defence sector on Telecoms projects provided a solid foundation in systems and processes.
At twenty-one I bought my first home, and have never looked back. I had a knack for flipping houses and built a buy-to-let portfolio, using skills learnt from my father backed by a strong work ethic inherited from my parents.
When my daughter, Gemma, suffered brain damage through a rare medical condition I left IT to set up an event decorating business which I could run from home.
When Gemma turned twenty-two she moved into the community to live her own life and I returned to IT.
During this time in my spare time I trained with industry experts to build my knowledge base then put it into practice supported by mentors to rebuild a portfolio. My passion for breathing new life into run-down properties and creating safe environments for tenants was re-ignited.
My strategic vision, coupled with having a positive impact, particularly for vulnerable people like my own daughter, drives me forward to achieve ambitious goals. But my greatest joy is achieving them with like-minded people.
